Hi, we’re Micah and Jordyn
The hearts behind gooseberry
Jordyn
Micah
We got married in May 2025 and are so grateful to be starting both marriage and business together side by side.
I’m Jordyn, the entrepreneurial spirit behind it all. My dad was my biggest inspiration in business. He taught me resilience and encouraged me to pursue my God-given passions and talents without letting the fear of failure hold me back. Because of that, I’ve spent most of my career as a freelance videographer and designer, and now I’m excited to build something that Micah and I can pursue together.
Our heart behind Gooseberry is simple: we want to serve our community in a meaningful way. Açaí has been part of my daily life for as long as I can remember - I’ve had an açaí smoothie for breakfast almost every morning - and I’ve always wished it were easier to find here in Oregon. Gooseberry is our way of sharing something we love with the people around us.
Micah is the engineer behind it all. He’s the one with the woodworking skills, problem-solving mindset, and mathematical brain that helped us design and build our very own açaí cart from the ground up. He’s also a huge coffee lover, so who knows - maybe one day you’ll see Gooseberry serving coffee, too.
In loving memory of Dwayne Dunseath (1961–2025), Jordyn’s dad and one of the greatest inspirations behind this dream.
His favorite verse:
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalm 118:24
